Zappy Dots Fall Leaves Burlap Swag

Don't forget to hop along the Polka Dot Pumpkin Blog Hop, today is day 4 of the hop.  Today I want to share with you another project using the fall leaves flair buttons from Zappy Dots.

These colors work really well with burlap as shown here on the burlap envelopes I created with the same set of Zappy Dots and the same flower sprig.  You could make a little gift tag and this swag would make a lovely gift with a tag received in the making burlap envelope.

Here are a few close ups of the Zappy Dots, fall leaves flair buttons.

The burlap is about 4" wide and just twisted, then I hot glued everything to it and tied off the ends.

Zappy Dots Fall Leaves Burlap Envelopes

Good Morning, today I wanted to share with you a simple project I made using a few supplies.  You'll need fall leave Zappy Dots, some premade burlap envelopes, and a fall flower sprig, a pair a pliers and a hot glue gun.

I found these little premade burlap envelopes and new they would be perfect for a fall project.  They are the perfect size for a gift card and really could be used in a variety of ways.

For these I purchased a sprig of flowers in fall colors that worked with the fall leave Zappy Dots.  Using my pliers or wire cutters I cut down the sprig into pieces that fit nicely on the burlap.  Then I layered a Zappy Dot on top and attached everything with hot glue.

Tip: I placed a piece of wax paper under the flap of the envelope so it would not seal when I attached my Zappy Dot and flowers.

Love Paris Plaque

Don't you love Paris?  I do! My love probably stems from my Great Grandmother being French.  So whenever I see the Eiffel Tower or something with Paris on it I'm really drawn to it.  Naturally, one of my first projects for the Zappy Dots design team would feature one of their lines with both Paris and the Eiffel Tower.

This project is fairly simple and can easily be adapted to any colors or theme.  I happen to have this unfinished MDF base ready to be decorated and that's where the design began.  Originally I was going to paint the base, but as things came together I actually liked the natural look of the base and just left it as is.

Next I just layered three different patterned papers, each about a 1/4" smaller than the other.  Then I used my Tim Holtz rosette die to make the rosettes.

To adhere the Zappy Dots I used my mini hot glue gun.  I first made a hot glue dot and let it cool.  Once it has cooled add another layer of hot glue and adhere to the front of the rosette.  Once it has cooled adhere to the layered squares.

See, simple and quick to make!
