Valentine's Bouquet

Happy Valentine's Day!!  I created this paper flower bouquet to share with you today.

The flowers are die cut and assembled using the Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect.  For the stems I covered straws with washi tape and attached them to the flowers.  For more details and a brief tutorial on how to create custom glue spots using the Best Glue Ever, check out the ScraPerfect blog here.

Valentine's Wreath

The other day while at target I was inspired by a Valentine's wreath I saw.  It was several red and pink metal rings attached but overlapping each other and a row of felt flowers and hearts across the bottom.  I wanted to create a similar look without the cost and this is what I came up with.

I wrapped several sizes of hoop rings with red and pink ribbon.  For the outside ring I used the outer portion of the ring to use as a hook for hanging the wreath.  Then I hot glued the rings to each other.

I die cut felt flowers, layered them and attached decorative buttons for the flower centers.

Valentine's Printer Tray

I don't usually purchase Valentine themed paper, it's just in recent years that they have appealed to me.  But when I saw the Yours Truly line from Pebbles Inc. I just had to get it.  I love the colors and patterns from this line.  I grabbed a 6 x 6 pad of paper and inspiration soon followed.  Here's the Valentine's themed printers tray I created.

The 6 x 6 paper pads are great for a project like this.  You get the collection of coordinating papers and I don't feel like I'm wasting a lot because I'm not trimming a small piece from a 12 x 12 paper that I might not use again.  Plus the patterns are on a smaller scale so they work nicely and don't overwhelm.

Here's another look at it.  All the embellishments are from my stash.  The bottom three are chipboard elements, the hearts are covered with glimmer mist, the other two are covered with glitter.

I hope you've enjoyed this printers tray as must as I enjoyed creating it.

An Accountant's Valentine

I know it's a bit after Valentine's Day but with the chaos of family visiting and my daughter's birthday party this is my first chance to post this.  I wanted to make my husband a special valentine this year and since he is accounting I thought it'd be fun to make a card geared toward his specialty.

It's a simple card, with a cardstock base and a couple layers of patterned paper from Bo Bunny's Love Letters line.  I used some Thickers to make the calculator keypad and replaced the bottom keys with I love you.  I attached the Thickers to a piece of cardstock first and then attached that to the card base.  Then I fussy cut a heart and attached with pop up adhesive over the 0.

On the inside a I printed a poem on vellum and layered it over some patterned paper.  I attached it to the card base with brads.
