Tea Pot Box and Mini Album

Hello Everyone, a couple months ago my mom and I took my daughter's to a tea room for a fancy tea party.  The girls dressed up in their fancy dresses and all.  Naturally I took lots of pictures while we were there and I wanted to create something special to preserve those memories.

I created this Tea Pot box using two piece from a Clear Scraps Tea Pot shaped Chipboard album.  I covered all sides with patterned paper then created the box portion from a piece of chipboard.

Inside the box is a mini acrylic album shaped like a tea cup.  I embossed every other tea cup piece and added photos from our tea party.

I printed smaller photos so they are easy to add to a mini album.  I let the embossing be the main embellishment for the album and left it pretty simple as I didn't want to clutter the pictures.

Bonjour Acrylic Card

Hello, today I wanted to share with you this fun acrylic card I made using Clear Scraps Scallop Send it Clear Card

The card kit comes with two scalloped pieces but for this card I only used one. The patterned paper is from Bo Bunny, I inked the edges of the paper and "inked" the acrylic with acrylic paint.  I then used my crop-a-dile to punch holes in the card base and scallop piece to create a unique closer using ribbon.  Add a little bling to the scallop edge and the center of the flower on the coffee cup and some thickers for a sentiment of choice.

Supplies used

Patterned Paper - Bo Bunny
Foam Letters - Thickers by American Crafts
Rhinestones
Acrylic Paint

Clean acrylic with the Best Cleaner EVer

Good Morning, today I wanted to share with you a quick and easy way to clean up a piece of acrylic.  You can find all the details on the ScraPerfect blog, but I'll share my tips here too.

Here's the acrylic piece from Clear Scraps that I wanted to use.  I didn't like how it turned out the first attempt so I removed the paper and stickers and started over.  But first I had to clean the acrylic.

A little spritz of the Best Cleaner Ever from ScraPerfect and a little rub on both sides.  Let sit for several minutes and wipe clean with a soft cloth like the Perfect Cleaning Cloth.

Looks good as new and I was able to create something new with it.

Le Tour Eiffel Acrylic Layout

Have you ever worked with Acrylic?  I love all the fun things you can do with acrylic.  I've made a few mini albums with acrylic pages but never any layouts.  Not until I took a class at the Creating Keepsakes Convention in March.  I took one class making layouts with the base being a piece of acrylic.  Love it!!  Here's my first layout made with an acrylic background.

Acrylic is a little tricky to photograph, but I managed to get a decent shot.  The picture of the Eiffel tower is from my honeymoon trip.  The patterned paper is from Bo Bunny's C'est La Vie line.  I painted the edge of the acrylic piece with acrylic paint and then painted the tips of the white roses with the same paint to bring more of the color onto the layout.  The flowers and flourishes are from Prima Marketing Inc., and the alphabet stickers are Thickers from American Crafts.
